Set up notification rules

Decide how far ahead you want to be warned, and how serious each warning is.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Notifications

Rules are set per organization, so everyone works from the same warning schedule.

  2. Add a rule with a lead time

Choose how many days before expiry it should fire — for example 30 days. Each rule fires once, on that day.

  3. Cover what has already lapsed

Use zero days for documents that have already expired, so nothing sits unnoticed after the date has passed.

  4. Set a severity

Info, Warning or Critical. Severity is what makes a genuinely urgent item stand out instead of joining a flat list.

  5. Know what the rules cover

Employee documents approaching expiry, missing qualifications on jobs that are already staffed, and — separately — preliminary jobs, 14 days before they start.
